40s Skirt Suite Beaded Swag Fringe, Pencils Skirt By Tailored by Chas. Kupersmith Inc.

This is a wonderfully chic 40s fine wool gabardine suit. The suit is a lovely light blue color with the best slightly fringed blue faceted beads. The suit jacket has small lapels with the same beaded trim. There is more of the same trim on two side darts that fit the jacket to the body in the front. The jacket buttons down the front with fun fabric-covered square buttons that are such a nice art deco detail. The jacket is fitted in the waist and flares out slightly over the hips. There are pockets on each side of the hips and over the pockets, there are 4 rows of beading. The jacket has shoulder pads and is lined in a matching silk crepe with a spare button and 3 labels. One reads: tailored by Chas. Kupersmith Inc. Below this is the fabric tag for Forstinann 100% virgin wool. The last tag is at the back of the neck, naming the retailer, Madison’s Columbus. The suit has a matching skirt in blue wool. It is a pencil silhouette falling just past the knees with a side metal zipper and a small slit in the front of the skirt to help with movement. The skirt is unlined.

Condition:
The suit is in great condition overall with only a small stain to the left of the last button. The stain is small and hard to see. The suit is so wonderful and is ready to wear.
