40s Pink Silk Dress With Embroidery And Ruffles

Stunning ballet pink silk vintage 1940s dress. The ultimate in feminine with a sweetheart neckline, embroidered cutwork and a ruffle across the bust. There are pintucks along the ruffle and echoed on the sleeves and at the waist. Medium to smaller large size, I'd say. Label reads: None. There are no closures, no zippers, snaps etc...it just pulls over the head.

Excellent vintage condition. There is a bit of darker pink color bleed from something reddish in a few areas, very small. And I did spot a couple little smudges, see photo for example. Nothing that really takes away from how lovely this dress is.

Measurements when lying flat. Doubled at bust, waist and hip.
Armpit to armpit across bust: 40" there is a seam down the center back that was added sometime after this was sewn. You could let that out and get about another inch across the back, maybe a hair more.
Waist: 33" at rest up to about 36" stretched.
Hips: 45" up to 451"
Shoulder to waist: approx 16"
Shoulder to bottom hem: 43"
