40s Original Rare Large Big Yank Work Shirt Gray Salt and Pepper Chambray
My husband bought this shirt in an Army and Navy surplus store in the 1970s, in Buffalo New York. He has worn it occasionally, but favored other shirts, which I guess is why it is still in near mint condition. I just laundered and pressed it with a touch of spray starch, and it looks brand new! The only wear is the size tag has unraveled, but the neck measurement is a rare large 18! As you can see by the pictures, there is no wear on the neck or cuffs. I just noticed there does seem to be a dark patch on the lower left front of the shirt....maybe dry cleaning would do the trick. All original buttons, and the button holes are like new. A similar shirt in a small size sold on e-bay for $575. 00 I am pricing this higher because of the very generous size. This shirt will last another 80 years, if treated well. shirt is dark grey...the label photo shows the color, best. .
