40s Enameled Safety "pin" From Syracuse Ny

I can't explain why I go weak-kneed when I come across old enamel badges such as these. Most of my collection live on an old vest, completely covered with them. When I wear the vest and people start looking at them, my gag line is " Well, I had to come up with some way to get people to stare at my chest!". Now I need to start thinning them out. This is a great safety badge, that screws into a button hole. It has a little "barb" that stops it from turning, when in place. It measures three quarters of an inch wide. Good gift for a Syracuse or NY collector, or anyone in the safety industry.
