40s/50s Vintage Hungarian Hand Embroidered Peasant Blouse By Made In Hungary
Classic hand embroidered peasant blouse. Body is an off white gauze fabric with embroidered florals in a multitude of colors. Bright red neck tie adjusts the neckline to a keyhole type or can be worn open. Neckline, puff sleeves and waist all have the traditional smocking in multiple colors.
Label is Hand Embroidery, Made in Hungary.
Very good condition but does have some seam wear along the left sleeve which needs to be reinforced. I have photographed this area closely. The body was probably a true white but now has slightly aged to a mellow antique white. Embroidered areas are still vibrant. No holes, stains or odors.
