40s 40s Novelty Print Dress And Cropped Jacket Set

1940s set consisting of a dress and cropped jacket. Dress has a novelty print rayon bodice and skirt is in a black rayon crepe as is the jacket. Bodice has padded shoulders and a tie at neckline. Center front has an opening of several inches to allow neckline to slip over the head and there is a single hook and loop beneath the tie. There is a side metal zipper and the shaped waistband fastens with two snaps and a hook and eye. Jacket has no closures.

Nice condition. There is a small mend underneath the jacket collar, not visible when worn. The bodice of the dress has some light discoloration around the underarm and shoulder area and the fabric covering the buttons. There are some pinholes and a small mend that I spotted. None of these are very noticeable because of the pattern. Skirt fabric has a couple snags, nothing noticeable. Otherwise only minor wear commensurate with age. Presents very well. Crepe has stretch, bodice fabric does not and is meant fit slightly blousey.
