A classic full length gray wool overcoat with a beautiful pattern, including red-orange nubs. The wide collar is similar to the 1940s, and could be considered art deco, but the tag inside the inside pocket says this was made in 1955. Union label is also inside the pocket. The coat is beautifully tailored with handsome cuffs and all original buttons. Coat is in mint condition with NO sign of wear around the inside armholes, button holes or ANYWHERE! There is a small button under the collar for storm weather, and there is one deep inside pocket. there are also two very deep front pockets, both soft and clean.
The satin lining goes half way down the back, but is full length on each side. This coat is appropriate for spring and fall. It is very hard to find these coats now, so I am putting it at the top of its price range. I sell to movies and stage productions, and perhaps this is where it will end up! But if you don't have one of these for your wardrobe, this is a great opportunity.
