Please use these measurements to assure your best fit.
For the gown:
Bust ~~~ 34 inches
Straps ~~~ 23 inches
Waist ~~~ 30 inches
Hip ~~~ 54 inches
Full length ~~~ 56 inches
Hemline width ~~~ 110 inches
For the robe:
Bust ~~~ up to 36 inches
Armhole opening ~~~ 20 inches
Waist ~~~ 38 inches
Hip ~~~ 58 inches
Full length ~~~ 56 inches
Hemline width ~~~ 90 inches
In the detailed photos I show a closeup of the yoke, the sheer floral white lace, the paper hang tags and the label. This is a well-made set, with the high-end Shadowline nylon.
Note that the white lace dip in the center front is mimicked by the white lace design of the bodice.
Narrow white lace trims the wide sweep hemline of the gown. The 2 inch wide version is used for the collar of the robe.
This robe can easily be worn without tying the belt. The wrap is very slight, at just 3 and 1/2 inches, which is controlled by 2 inside hidden snaps to hold the front closed when it is worn wrapped.
True to 1980's in style, there are shoulder poufs, made from self ruffled nylon fabric, at the shoulder seams to give that full-on 8-'s vibe.
This gown is too large for my model, so for purposes of these photos I clipped it in the back. To see what the criss cross straps and low cut back actually look like, I included a photo of just the back.
This super soft nylon fabric is machine washable and can be tumbled dry on low. Because the paper hang tags remain attached I haven't laundered this set.
Shadowline was a lingerie company, located in Morganton, North Carolina. It was founded in 1946 by Sherrod Salsbury, Jr. The company had the reputation of producing lingerie of very high quality.
