Gorgeous Rare 30s Silk Butterfly Dressing Gown
This dressing gown is absolutely beautiful and the epitome of 30's grace. I would wear this around the house to lounge in style and out to show off as a dress. Off white silk with large artsy blue, light green, yellow and powdery blue almost lavender butterflies. V-neck with an elegant choker button closure. Cuffed elbow length puffed sleeves. Falls to about mid calf length. Two front triangle pockets. 7 matching fabric covered buttons that button all down. One hook and eye closure at the waist. There are no tags. This beauty came from an estate filled with European antiques and an impressive Robe collection. The outer lining is in fantastic condition, the inner lining has started to shatter a bit due to age (pictured). There are some stains on the inside of the lining. Some armpit staining that does go through to the outside lining, but blends with fabric, not very noticeable.
