Softly molded into a two-tier shape, this lipstick red pillbox style hat was Made in the USA by the George W. Bollman Hat Co. It is 100% wool felt doeskin, luxurious to the touch. It 2 and 1/2 inches tall and 8 inches across. From front to back it is just under 9 inches. Inside there is a hidden black elastic band, meant to go behind your head, under your hair. When you don't want or need to use that elastic, it can be tucked inside the hat.
Each layer is trimmed with flat 1/4 inch wide red braid ribbon.
At the top back of the hat there is a four-tiered clear red horsehair-like ribbon, with a center accent of the red braid plus small red sequins. Two rows of those red sequins accent the top center.
In these photos I show how versatile you can choose to wear it. On the mannequin I have the wide sheer red bow in front, off to either side and on the crown of the head.
Black satin ribbon binds the inside edges. As you can see, that inside also is very clean.
