C. 10s-20s Smoked Glass Round Sunglasses Antique Victorian Edwardian Glasses Historical Fashion
C. 10s-20s Smoked Glass Round Sunglasses Antique Victorian Edwardian Glasses Historical Fashion
Gorgeous dark tinted glasses circa 1910s-1920s. These were often referred to as "smoked lenses" and do not have a prescription or magnification.
Marked U. S.A on the inside of the nose bridge.
Before the days of sunglasses, there were tinted glasses, believed by some to improve vision, but also worn for the sake of fashion by others. Some were worn as eye protection from the elements.
Measurements
Approximately 4 7/8" across the front. They have flexible ear wires to fit a range of sizes.
Condition
Great condition! The lenses are in good condition with perhaps some minor, faint scratching but nothing that I could see while wearing them. These do not appear to have been used.
These are wearable with care at your own risk (the lenses are antique and made of glass, and therefore do not meet modern safety regulations).
