20s Wearable Flapper Black Silk Velvet Dress Bust 40
A lush flapper dress in black velvet--and a wearable size!
This is a classic 1920s cut, with a straight sleeveless top, a V-shaped skirt yoke at front and back, and a bias flare so that the skirt twirls when you do. She is in very good shape, especially after a century and especially for silk. She does need re-hemming. The front neckline is fraying a bit, and the center back neckline seam binding should be replaced (see photo). There is minor crushing to the velvet, spots about as bit as a dime. Overall surprisingly good shape!
