20s Carnelian Red Glass Scarab Chain Link Bracelet

20s Carnelian Red Glass Scarab Chain Link Bracelet

Wear a small piece of history, on your wrist, with this Egyptomania theme bracelet, circa 1920s...

This delicate, but well-made bracelet comes from a time when all over the world, folk were excited about new discoveries of tombs and were affected by something that we call 'Egyptomania'. Fashion and art, including jewelry were inspired by the ancient designs and styles of the Egyptian people. Scarab jewelry was a very popular fad to come from this period. This example is made from brass colored metal chain links, which have tiny etch marks throughout. The four scarab style cabochon pieces are nested in brass bases, and come in one larger and one smaller size -the smaller having slightly more detail. I believe these are glass, as when held up to the light you can see through them, in an opaque manner (I did not find any bubbles or anomalies, though). I love the deep reddish carnelian color! The clasp on this bracelet is an antique style, wherein you use a nail to catch the edge of the closure on the ring (I can always add a video of this, just ask me!!). No maker's marks or marks any where. Overall condition is excellent, with little to no signs of wear and age. Please review photographs for full details.

Measurements:

- 18 cm length
- 3 cm length of larger scarab
- 2.3 cm width of larger scarab
- 2.75 cm length of smaller scarab
- 2.25 cm width of smaller scarab
