10s/Edwardian Yellow Glass Pearl Cluster Pendant On Long Chain

Edwardian cluster necklace with golden glass pearls on a delicate sterling chain ... long, sautoir length.

This necklace is a longtime favorite. I've had them in a few shades of pearl, but the yellow one just has something special. The glass pearls were never perfect, as this was a costume piece from the beginning; in fact I love the little bubbles of applied color. I also love the very thin, dainty-looking sterling chain, studded with small versions of the pearls, which graduate from small to large in the cluster.

I have not polished the chain because the age is very pretty. The whole piece is in very good condition; it has been worn, but the wear does not show much. Please look carefully at the photos, of course.

This classic could work with a lot of looks, including flapper and Bridgerton types.

Note that there is no clasp; it slips on over the head.
