This is a rare fine cotton princess slip or combination corset cover and petticoat from the early 1900s. The Edwardian princess slip is sleeveless with lace trim at armholes and neckline. The center back placket includes 12 tiny carved shell buttons (2 buttons are missing). It has gorgeous broderie anglaise edging the skirt ruffle. The ruffle includes 3 additional layers. The slip has been shortened with a 2" pleat at the top of the skirt ruffle. The slip has various small areas of thread loss and various small areas of discoloration (see photos). The bust is 34 inches. The waist is 28 inches. The length, measured from the center back neck to the hemline, is 44 inches.
