This is a lovely Victorian-era 1880s white linen Nightgown. The gown has a high collar with embroidered trim. The gown buttons all the way down the front with shell buttons. Covering the buttons is embroidered lace trim. From the collar, over the shoulders, and down the center front of the gown there is pin tucking and it's such a wonderful detail. It's also around the back just covering the shoulders before it ends. The gown is slightly more fitted in the front from the seaming around the bust and waist. The edge of the pin tucking is trimmed in embroidered lace. The rest of the gown is simple with plain, slightly puffed, sleeves and lace cuffs. The body is plain and falls to the floor. It is slightly longer in the back and would trail nicely on the floor.
