Two Rare 50s Hand-Painted Glass Atomic Light Sconces Light Fixtures Amoeba Abstract Art Art Glass Freehand
Two Rare 50s Hand-Painted Glass Atomic Light Sconces Light Fixtures Amoeba Abstract Art Art Glass Freehand
We bought these in Toronto, on our honeymoon...1986, in an antique store. We used them with an existing wall fixture for a few years, but after we moved to Las Vegas in 97, we never had wall lighting to use them again, so they have been in storage. I have seen mid-century glass sconces on line for $400 a pair, and I'm talking about your run- of -the- mill
styles that you see everywhere. If you want something as unusual as these, ( hand painted) , then you pay more. no? I will part for $500, but if you are a dealer, I am sure you could get twice that amount. When I took these pictures and looked at the close up shot, I could see a very feint crack near one of the drilled holes, but if you look at the inside , the crack cannot be seen, so it does not go through. That is the only very minor flaw. I just wish the artist had signed these!
Height: 9. 5"
