Waist ~~~ 22 inches un-stretched and 29 inches fully stretched
Hip ~~~ 35 inches
Full Length ~~~ 34 and 1/2 inches
Hemline Width ~~~ 41 and 1/2 inches
A 2 and 1/2 inch band of black sheer scallop edge lace is used all around as hemline trim and along both sides of the 10 inch long side slit as shown in the detail photo. At the waist there is a band of narrow elastic that is still completely stretchy.
It is in Excellent Vintage condition. All the seams are intact and there are no stains odors snags or holes. This is a lovely long black half slip that can be worn now and for years to come.

The Kayser lingerie company has an interesting history. According to the Vintage Fashion Guild "Julius Kayser founded his silk glove company in New York in 1880. By June 1911 the company was also manufacturing hosiery and underwear. In 1947 the company acquired the capital stock of other lingerie companies and hired designer John Norman for their lingerie line. At about that time Kayser bought the Corrette Corporation a manufacturer of women’s slips and petticoats and acquired Catalina Inc. producers of sportswear and swimsuits thus establishing Kayser as one of the largest manufacturers of apparel and accessories in the nation. In 1956 ads began to appear for Luxite-Kayser lingerie. The latest ad found for Luxite-Kayser was in 1960 and the last US/Canadian ad found for Kayser was a 1966 ad for a nylon nightgown."
