Edwardian White Petticoat With Broderie Anglais Eyelet Trim
Exquisite white cotton Edwardian petticoat which would make a lovely skirt. Waist has a single button closing. 15 inches down from the waist is wide tucks which I have always assumed were for length adjustment. Gathers follow, the narrow pintucks, cutwork lace, more pintucks then broderie anglais eyelet interwoven with crochet lace. Just a magnificent display of Edwardian design.
As for the condition there is spotting. There are several place of soiling that I did not try to clean. The front has some age soiling which I did photograph closely.
No labels or sizing as this was probably handmade.
