90s Necktie Jerry Garcia Facets Design Collection Silk by Stonehenge Jerry Garcia by Jerry Garcia
In trying to learn more about Jerry Garcia ties, and which ones are valuable, I came across a tie similar ( not identical) to mine, in design and construction. The seller is asking $175 for his, and his has the original paper tags, showing it has never been worn, so yes, worth more due to those attributes. Here is what he says about his tie:
"These early Garcia ties made by Stonehenge are beautiful and unique neckties adored by Jerry himself. After Jerry’s unfortunate death in 1995 and the court battles over his estate, the license was given to a big corporation and the Garcia neckwear soon lost its exclusivity and collectability. Basically, they became mass-produced overseas and quite frankly commercialized. That being said, the Stonehenge ties have become highly sought after and very collectible. 56X4 inches." he labels this a "Collection #4".
Mine is also a "Facets" design, but mine does not have the "facets" cloth label that his does, and does not have a paper label. It is in very good condition, and I see no flaws, other than some decolorization of the lining, which no one will see. It has a small label stating that it is 100% silk. You can have this one for only $60. 00. I really like the design, and think it is one of the better ones in my collection, but with over 400 ties, I think I can let this one go. This tie will look great with a blue, red, gold, brown, or green suit.
