80s Silk Kimono Obi Belt, Shoes, Slip, Fan
Here for your consideration is a very nice 1980s Kimono outfit. I purchased this in an estate sale and it was complete in the box. It includes a letter from a woman in Japan who had met the recipient Nebraskan woman in Hawaii and sent her this as a gift. I am including the letter with pictures she also sent as it is providence and quite sweet. It is dated 1984. . This set includes the kimono, obi belt, an under slip and shoes. I am unsure of the size but the measurements of the kimono with it flat from one side is Arm pit to pit 29", waist 28" hips 29" shoulder to hem 63" . The underskirt is cotton and is like a wrap or apron and marked Large and measures 60" wide not including the ties and 36" long. The shoes are 10" long and 4" wide across the top. The set is in very good condition. There are few speck streak spots on the silk from storage. Otherwise it looks unworn and kept in the box since received .
