80s Santana Knit Cardigan And Skirt Set By St. John by Marie Gray

Vintage SAINT JOHN by Marie Gray Santana knit 2-piece suit with shoulder pads. Suit consist of skirt and an oversized cardigan sweater.  No size label so please go by measurements ( take stretch into account because this is a knit). It is Most likely a Medium. I would estimate it’s a size 8. It reminds me of what they were wearing in that show "Dallas".

This one has big shoulder pads and roomy Sleeves.  It was made in the 1980's and the style back then was to make shoulders look big and things were supposed to fit big.   Here are the measurements taken lying flat.
Top :
Armpit to armpit – 21 inches
Skirt:
Waist stretches from 13 inches to 17 inches
Hips 19 inches lying flat - will stretch to 22”

This suit is in excellent vintage condition.   It has enameled buttons. St. John By Marie Gray's women’s off-white, rayon and wool skirt set.
