80s Black Knit Evening Jacket And Full-length Skirt by St John

This 1980's vintage St. John Evening suit comes with a long jacket and a matching full-length skirt. The jacket has padded shoulders; satin collar, lapels, and cuffs; and three gorgeous domed rhinestone buttons in front plus one on each cuff. The skirt is a long pencil skirt with an elastic waist and a long walking vent on the side. The fabric is St. John's beloved santana knit in a wool and viscose (rayon) blend (80/20). The satin fabric is polyester, although it looks like silk. The jacket is labeled size 8, and the skirt is labeled size 10. It's possible that the jacket was blocked in order to be comparable in size with the skirt, which is easy to do and quite common with St. John knits.

JACKET MEASUREMENTS
- Chest is 36"
- Waist is 32"
- Hips are 41" at about 8" below waist.
- Sleeve length is 24.5"
- Length is 33" down center back.

SKIRT MEASUREMENTS*
- Elastic waist is 28" unstretched.
- Hips are 38" at about 8" below waist.
- Length is 40"
- Length of slit is about 20"
