80s/90s Black Velvet 20s Style Shoes Louis Heels By Nina
I have several pairs of vintage size 8.5 shoes with amazing Louis heels to list. They belonged to a woman who LOVED shoes and had a storage unit filled with clothes and shoes of the 1980s and 1990s. Somebody bought the contents of her unit and sold the shoes ... the heels and styles that go so well with art deco looks.
These are a NARROW width. They will feel tight on a regular 8.5 (like me)
For measurements such as heel height, please see the photos on the blue mat. Each small square represents a half an inch. You'll get a good sense of proportion.
So here's the intel on this pair:
They are beautifully made by quality designer Kenneth Cole--red suede with subtle stitching, very lovely.
Flaws: The heel tip is coming off the left shoe. It doesn't really show when you put them on, but that a quarter-inch you're missing. It should be replaced. Fortunately, this pair has an extra set of tips in the box. I can't guarantee that they haven't gone brittle over the years, but they are there to use.
The suede is in good condition, but the glue has come loose on the heels--meaning that the suede wrinkles a little bit there. This shouldn't be a problem, but I'm going for full disclosure.
And that's it! They look beautiful on, so they should have another life.
I've described the shoes' past history. They are now stored in their box in a nonsmoking, pet-loving environment.
