70s Velvet Tapestry Dress Vintage 70s Dress, Burgundy with French 18th Century Ladies and Music Tapestry Dress, Xs
Fun late 70s early 80s velvet tapestry dress. Burgundy velvet with an 18th century French scene. The tapestry depicts two women, one on the ground and another on a swing listening to a man play bagpipes. Sleeveless with square neckline. Empire waist with two ties on the front and two ties on the back that tie on the sides. A-line skirt. Zipper up the back. I believe the dress is handmade and shows some hand-stitching on the inside. The dress is unlined except for the inside of the collar.
Please note: Since the dress is most likely handmade, there are signs of hand-stitching and some raw edges along the seams on the inside. Also, the hem appears to be stitched twice, once with plastic threads which has come undone on one section along the side. The hem is till intact however. Please see photos. Regardless of these issues, the garment still presents beautifully and has been priced accordingly.
