70s Space-dyed Open-front Cardigan Sweater By Jantzen

This space-dyed acrylic yarn, open-front 1970s cardigan sweater by Jantzen combines shades of red, blue grey and off-white. The sweater has wide, ribbed panels along the front opening. It is over-stitched with beige thread to create textured, zigzag or triangular patterns at the shoulders, sleeve cuffs, back, and hem. The sleeves are bracelet-length, falling to just above the wrist on our tall mannequin. The overall shape of the cardigan is slightly flared from the dropped shoulders to the hem. It was intended for a moderately loose, draped fit, and originally came with a matching belt, which is not present. Just use your favorite belt, if you prefer it cinched at the waist--although I really like it hanging loose, as shown. This versatile 70s tunic-length cardigan by Jantzen should fit approximately a size S to M (It fits somewhat loosely, but nicely, on a modern size 6—it is proportionally smallest at the shoulders.) It is in excellent condition.
