I love hats. This is a mint condition mod velvet hat. They have been called "helmets" in the day, as they sometimes resembled motorcycle helmets. Or you may call it a cloche, or a bubble hat. They had all sorts of names. These were designed in the Mod Mondrian days, I believe. Very clean! There are two side hair "clips" to secure the hat, and there is a union label. The front is slightly higher than the back. The lens distorts it a bit. The measurements are:
7. 5" from front to back, and about 6" across from side to side. Crown is 4" in the front and 3" high in the back. The leather bow is 9" across and 5" from top to bottom. Hat size is 22". The condition is perfect!
