60s Mod Patti Boyd School Girl Style Floral Linen Suit 60s Olive Green Orange Two Piece by Arthur Jay

60s Mod Patti Boyd School Girl Style Floral Linen Suit 60s Olive Green Orange Two Piece by Arthur Jay

I remember wearing a very similar style floral suit in this same linen and cut when I was in high school, in 1967, so I was thrilled to find this.....and I still have never found another. The label, designed by Arthur Jay, has the most groovy and playful font, and I cannot help thinking of Patty Boyd's school girl style dress in "A Hard Day's Night", or the goofy "ChittyChitty Bang Bang" farce movies of the era.
I wore my matching skirt very short as a mini skirt, but the hip hugger A line skirt that comes with this suit is longer. It has a plastic zipper, and no hem to speak of. The jacket is fully lined in a brown satin, but the skirt is not lined. Plastic olive colored buttons are all original, and the sleeves are beautifully styled in reference to old English and MOD fashion. I also love the scalloped front of the jacket that mirrors the peter pan collar. No Flaws anywhere, on either the jacket or skirt!
