50s Shawl Collar Dress Coat Roses Navy Blue Satin Rayon 34 Sleeve

Maybe there was a matching dress to this beautiful dress coat, but because they are hard to come by, I grabbed it. This was back in the 90s. Because who does not want a COMPLETE ensemble when stepping out??? I may have worn it once, and it looks best, of course, with gloves that go at least to the elbow. It has two good-sized pockets. A plain satin lining, and no label ...not even a union label..Could it be home made? Originally, it was longer. Both the lining and the bottom have a HUGE 6 inches wide hem, so this can be let down. Think how marvelous this would look over a sexy wiggle dress! The fabric is a textured satin, with a rose pattern. I was wearing red, when I photographed it, and the shiny satin can be seen reflecting the color in some of the photographs. NO FLAWS! I love navy blue. It goes with yellow, pink, red, white, grey, you name it! I'd say this is a medium. No closures, but small hooks could be added. Go by measurements. My guess it is a rayon satin.
