50s Cream And Navy Blue Plaid Wool Swing Coat Jacket
A true vintage classic, this early 1950s swing jacket or “car coat” has great details: extra deep sleeve cuffs, scallop-trimmed pockets, and matching navy blue and cream wool plaid fabric inserted into the single, clear lucite button at the neck. Large shoulder pads add to the boxy shape of the loose-fitting swingy coat. The 4 pockets are lined with the same purple (once navy, but age-faded) rayon taffeta fabric as the inside of the coat. The heavy weight wool will be toasty warm, this winter! In very good condition, the only issue to note is the faded lining fabric.
