50s Black Cotton Pique Dress Hourglass Fit Rickrack By Bobbie Brooks
This hourglass-shaped black cotton piqué late 1950s or early 1960s dress by Bobbie Brooks has the most darling rickrack trim at the boat-neckline and short sleeves, along with tiny bows for extra-added cuteness! Darts shape the dress from bust to hips. The skirt hem has a pleat for ease of walking and diamond-shaped gussets under the arms allow for ease of movement there, too. (The sleeves are designed all-in-one with the rest of the bodice, aside from these gussets, with no seams at the shoulders.) This perfect 3-season LBD in mid-weight cotton is unlined and fastens with a side seam metal zipper. It is in excellent condition. Please note the dress’s curvy fit, with its hip measurement proportionally a bit larger than the bust measurement (see below).
