50s Big Gold Purple Cut Glass Cocktail Ring Adjustable

This is a large statement ring. The stone is large, almost 1 x 5/8 inches. The ring size is set at a size 9, but can adjust down to a six. Any bigger or smaller would compromise the ring's metal. The rings metal shank is plated gold with a striated texture. The gold plating is in excellent condition. The prongs holding the oval, faceted glass stone seem to be strong and secure. These large rings with cut glass were commonly known as cocktail rings at the time. This one is transparent and a great amethyst purple color. This ring is in excellent condition.
