50s -60s Silk Pocket Handkerchief Or Scarf Pocket Square Formal Wedding New Years Made In England by Bloch Freres
I just found this pocket square ( again) and discovered it was in my "Deactivate" folder, not in my "Active" folder. I had no idea why, so I reactivated it, and thought it needed a press, so I ironed it....only to discover the label was a bit unraveled, and the original paper "Bloch Freres" was missing! SO....I guess I laundered it, to remove some dirt, and never put it back up. So the Bloch Freres is missing, but you can see the original photo I first took, before laundering. Also the tag that says SILK, is frayed, now. However, the stain is gone, so much better to use, now.
Perhaps from the 1950s or 60's with a modern art design, this 17. 5 inch square silk accessory could be a scarf or man's pocket accessory, but in either case it is in good condition and extremely handsome! Luxurious silk, with wonderful yellow accent edge stripe, I can see this in a breast pocket, a pony tail tie or neck scarf for a rockabilly gal. This is a PRINTED pattern, so the back side is not as vibrant as the front.
