50s-60s Long Line Bra Corset Merry Widow Betty Page Lingerie 36b Pointy Bustier Sexy Vixen Rockabilly Pin Up by Warner's

This Bustier has some historical significance. It was part of a theatre wardrobe from the famous Studio Arena in Buffalo N. Y. Studio Arena was a fantastic theatre where a lot of Broadway plays tested their popularity, before playing N. Y.C. It was a professional Equity theatre under the leadership of Neal Du Brock. This has a Studio Arena label sewn on top of the WARNER label, and the name Sylvia M. Bell. I Googled her, but nothing came up. Maybe she wasn't a big name, but she wore this on stage. As a teen I volunteered as an usher, so I could see the plays for free. What an amazing education in literature and culture THAT was!!! From Mikado to Antigone! Anyway, I must have found this in a Buffalo thrift store. I love the fancy ribbing on the top of the cups, and the elastic straps...something not a lot of vintage items had. The cups are pointy, so this will be great under a betty Page style rockabilly sweater, or dress that has dart-y tailoring. Or just romp around the house and have some fun in lockdown? Honeymoon attire? Still stretchy all around. Waist can be 24-27". From top of cup to bottom of hem measures 12 ". I wore this once or twice, and it was super comfortable. ...but wrong cup for me, as I am a "D". No flaws, other than a few loose threads as seen in close up. No biggy. It just had a soak in woolite to freshen it up. If you live somewhere exotic, an extra charge may apply.
