50s 60s Little Black Cocktail Dressmetal Zipper Silk Lined Distinctive Tailoring Small
So many of these beautifully tailored black cocktail dresses from the 50s and 60s had a bow in the front, for a touch of femininity, but I love what this designer did, in place of the over-done bow....a fan of fabric!. This is a beautifully designed and tailored dress, fully lined in silk. The fabric is probably a rayon blend, summer or spring/fall weight. A metal zipper runs down the back, and the built in "belt or sash that encircles the waist, hooks in the back with four hooks. There is a flouncy area in the front skirt for dancing, yet it is sleek in the back for a slim look. No label of any kind, anywhere. Could it be homemade? If so, it was extremely professionally done! No flaws, but could use cleaning. Fabric is deep black.
