This stunning Victorian era gold filled book chain dates from the mid-late 19th century and really feels and looks like solid gold!
It has a very nice weight to it and the large spring ring clasp tests as 14k gold.
Each large, rectangular link is engraved with an abstract design on one side and is shaped like a book (hence the name "book chain").
Lays beautifully on the collar and is an incredible statement piece. One of the better ones I've seen!
