A wonderful book about a boy aardvark who has problems when his voice changes. I am from Western New York, the same area that the authors are from. Inside the back cover is a clipping from the local paper about the authors, and the book. The book's hard (cloth) cover is in mint condition, and the jacket is in very good condition with only minor flaws that have been fixed with archival document repair tape, on the inside....to reinforce the integrity of the paper. Cannot be seen.
My favorite part, other than the quirky illustrations, is that the illustrator drew a likeness of the key character, along with his signature. It is also signed by the authors, and there is an inscription from a grandmother to her grandson, opposite the other signatures. There is a copy of this same first edition, at Abe's Books, signed by only the authors, for $79. As I have the illustrator, as well, with the drawing, I am charging $99. 00. I also like the drawing of Kennedy Center, in NYC, as it is such an architecture landmark. The book jacket inside flap has a clipped corner.
